Breakfast Club
At Beech Hyde it is important to us to do everything we can to support the children academically and physically, and also to support families juggling busy lives. Therefore, Beech Hyde runs a free universal breakfast club every morning from 8am. Any pupil from Reception - Year 6 can attend and eat a healthy breakfast with children from all years. This is a lovely chance for them to mix and for the older pupils to develop leadership skills.
The children then split into two clubs:
Years Reception - Year 2 go to the library with Early Years Practioner Miss Mcrann and TA Miss Franklin to work oracy skills in a fun and engaging way.
Years 3-6 go with Miss Freeman, Year 4 teacher, to work on foundational skills that they may need to focus on - times tables, handwriting, spelling, maths..., or to focus on stretch and challenge tasks. Each child has a bespoke programme depending on their needs.
The pupils then join their own class for registration as the school opens at 8.45am.
If you would like your child to attend just email, or speak to, the main office with the days you would like them to come.
