House Teams

Year 6 House captain

At Beech Hyde Primary School and Nursery, we have four houses: Amwell, Lamer, Marford and Waterend. 

Every child is allocated a house when they start school in Reception and remain in this house throughout their time at Beech Hyde.  Siblings are put in the same house so families can cheer on together!  Each week the pupils earn house points which are counted up to decide which house wins the house cup.  House assemblies and house mornings are organised each term to give the pupils the opportunity to work together in their houses.   On sports day, the pupils work together to earn points for their house and the winning house is awarded the Sports Day Cup.

Each house has two Year 6 House Captains that lead and support their houses during house activities.
