W.A.S.P.S

WASPS is now in its 31st year of providing outstanding, affordable childcare to the children of Beech Hyde and St Helen’s schools in Wheathampstead. The Play Scheme has an excellent reputation in the community and works to the highest of standards. It's latest Ofsted report can be found below. 

Based at Beech Hyde school they offer a welcoming environment, experienced staff, fun activities, crafts, healthy eating and free play.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club is based in the Beech Hyde music classroom and runs weekdays during term time from 7:30am until the school day begins. Breakfast served until 8:15am.

After breakfast children can take part in table-top activities, or weather permitting, supervised outdoor play.  Children are taken through to their classrooms at 8:45am. All children are handed over to school staff each morning.

The cost is £6 per child per session.

After School Club

After school Club is based in the Beech Hyde Nursery Building and provides child care for families who attend Beech Hyde Primary School and St Helen’s C of E School, from 3:15pm to 6pm on Monday – Thursday and 3:15pm to 5:45pm on Fridays. Our play workers meet your children from school and accompany them safely to the Club.

The cost is £12 per child, per session, with a reduction for siblings.
